ColorPick Description
ColorPick is a small software application designed specifically for helping you capture the color code for any pixel on your desktop.
Simple looks
The tool was designed with an overall simplicity in mind, so there’s support only for a few settings that you can tinker with. All the program’s functions are embedded in a single window, so tweaking the dedicated parameters proves to be an easy task.
How it works
ColorPick gives you the possibility to pick the desired color from the screen or choose a color from several preset options. You can also make use of the built-in magnifier for zooming in or out of the screen.
The tool displays the HEX, RGB, and HSB values and embeds dedicated buttons in the primary panel for helping you quickly copy data to the clipboard, so you can easily paste the information into other third-party programs.
When it comes to configuration settings, you are allowed to pick a color from a desktop snapshot or interact directly with your screen and show lines between pixels.
On the downside, you cannot check out the LAB, CMYK, HTML, YIQ (NTSC), YUP (PAL), YUP (ADSC) color values and view data for Photoshop, Visual Basic, C++, Java, and Delphi colors.
Performance
There’s no support for many configuration settings, so even less experienced users can make the most out of this tool in no time. Tests have shown that ColorPick carries out a task quickly and without errors. It leaves a minimal footprint on system resources, so the overall performance of the computer is not affected.
Bottom line
To sum things up, ColorPick proves to be a simplistic piece of software that comes bundled with limited features in order to help you identify the code for any color from your desktop.
