Command Pad Description

Although most hardcore developers out there have no problems running command line programs, having lots of Command Prompt or other Terminal-like instances hanging around your desktop is not exactly what you would call ideal.

Better manage scores of CLI-based apps by relying on Command Pad

Command Pad is an uber-useful, Electron-based application that allows you to manage, start and stop your most used command line programs from under a single roof and with no more than a few mouse clicks.
Since its based on the modern Electron framework, this little app can be run on two of the most popular operating systems to date, Windows, and macOS.

Start off by adding your most frequently used command line apps

Upon launching the app, you are greeted by a compact and simple main window. To begin, click the plus-shaped button and start adding new command line tasks by filling in the name, the actual command and, optionally, the working directory and the URL.
Regardless of what you choose to add, be it simple commands for launching apps, scripts, various developer servers or other similar environments, they will be displayed within the app's main window.

Launch, manage and stop command line-based apps with the least amount of hassle involved

From this point onwards, you can start and stop CLI-based programs with a single mouse click on the associated buttons from their left. It is worth mentioning that the application also provides you with output feedback, effortlessly activated when hovering with the cursor above the eye-shaped icons.
Lastly, you can configure the app to accurately prompt your whenever a script, app or command is ended. You can do this directly when adding new command line tasks or you can edit already existing ones and activate the checkbox from the lower part of the menu.

A must-have tool for all developers that need to run repetitive command line tasks

Taking everything into consideration, Command Pad is an excellent example of what we call a handy and efficient application.
This said, if you frequently find yourself in the frustrating situation of having lots of Command Prompt or command line instances opened and this clearly affects your productivity, then you should definitely give Command Pad the chance to prove its worth.
