Computer Remote Control

Computer Remote Control is a Java-based software application that permits you to control a computer from another machine in the local network, smartphone or tablet via an HTML-enabled web browser. It lets you view the remote screen as well as take control over the keyboard and mouse.

No installation necessary, apart from Java

As long as you have Java set up on your PC, you don't need to install anything else. You can drop Computer Remote Control's executable file anywhere on the PC you want to control from a remote device, and just click it to run.
Otherwise, you can save it to a pen drive to directly launch it on any PC with minimum effort, as long as it has Java installed. It doesn't modify Windows registry settings.

Remote control via an HTML-enabled web browser

Once launched, the software application brings up a small window that reveals a link. This frame gets sent to the system tray area on close, and access to the remote PC can be revoked only by exiting Computer Remote Control.
All you have to do is type this URL in the device you want to control the machine from. The app loads a blank page with a single menu button that you can expand to trace the remote screen or mouse, take control of the keyboard, or power off the computer.

Evaluation and conclusion

The major disadvantage of this tool is that you cannot keep an eye on the screen while using the keyboard or mouse, so you basically have to perform blind actions. On top of that, it takes a pretty long time for Computer Remote Control to execute a user command, and the image quality is not very good.
CPU and RAM consumption is minimal, so Computer Remote Control doesn't hamper system performance. However, it needs a lot of improvements.
