This can cause quite the frustration over time, but all hope is not lost. You can rely on applications like CopyDream to create text templates to then insert in any field with the help of hotkey commands.

Lightweight and easy to use

The application is portable, which adds a lot of flexibility. As such, you’re free to run it as soon as download is done, without having to go through a setup process to make it work. Moreover, it can even be stored on a thumb drive to use wherever needed. Just make sure that the target PC is equipped with .NET Framework, because it’s mandatory for functionality.
There’s a single window to the whole operation, which is brought up on launch. There aren’t any preset text strings configured, but it’s not really rocket science to figure out how these need to be filled in. There are 10 different slots you can fill in, and if strings are important, such as passwords, you can have them hidden, or only particular ones.

Good, but far from being a pro

Hotkey commands make the whole operation a lot more easy, thus cutting the dependency to the application’s main window. These are pre configured, and you can’t change them. This is rather disappointing because some applications might also use them, and there’s a chance you can run into issues.
On the other hand, you can minimize the application to the tray area and bring it up whenever you need to copy a specific string. Luckily, there’s a button assigned to each slot to instantly sent it to clipboard. Moreover, the entire list of strings can be saved to file, but you can’t load an existing one to hold multiple lists.

All things considered, we can state that CopyDream is a practical application, but it could have used a bit more flexibility, at least the freedom to modify existing hotkeys. There are enough slots to work with, and you can even carry the application on a USB flash drive wherever you go.
