CrystalWolf Player is a simple-to-use program which allows you to play audio tracks of multiple formats, including MP3, MP4, OGG, WAV and WMA. It can be easily handled by novices.
The interface of the application is plain and easy to follow. Audio tracks can be imported into the list by using the file browser or treeview only, because the "drag and drop" method is not supported.
So, you can use basic audio player functions, such as pause and stop, navigate back and forth within the track and adjust the volume.
But you can also create a playlist and manage a favorites list, enable repeat and shuffle mode, display lyrics, jump to a particular file and change the ID3 tag format.
Additionally, you can enable CrystalWolf Player to automatically start playing files after importing them and to minimize to the system tray, make file associations, integrate the program into the Explorer context menu, change the interface language, and others.
The audio player takes up a low-to-moderate amount of system resources, has a good response time, supports keyboard shortcuts and didn't freeze, crash or pop up errors during our tests. However, there is no help file available and the interface needs some improvements. All in all, CrystalWolf Player comes bundled with the necessary and suffice elements for playing sound files and we recommend it to all users who are looking for a straightforward tool.
