CTSCameraViewer Description
CTSCameraViewer is a lightweight software application built specifically for helping you record video streams from your webcam and take snapshots.
Intuitive layout
It sports a clean and intuitive layout that allows you to carry out most operations with minimal effort. Thanks to its built-in buttons, you can easily trigger the recording process.
Recording options
CTSCameraViewer gives you the possibility to select the webcam, start, pause, or stop the recording process, as well as zoom in or out.
You can export the recorded video streams to ASF file format and pick the saving directory. When it comes to taking snapshots, you can easily press the built-in button and save the image to BMP, JPG, GIF, PNG, or TIFF file format.
Additionally, you can upload videos on YouTube, provided that you have specified the authentication parameters. The lack of configurable settings makes it an ideal utility for rookies, as they don’t have to spend a lot of time configuring the dedicated parameters.
However, more experienced users may find it pretty difficult to work with a tool that doesn’t offer support for advanced functions. You cannot use an automatic mode for taking screenshots, hotkeys for a better control, and perform video conversion operations.
During our testing we have noticed that CTSCameraViewer provides good output results but it is not quite friendly with system resources, so the overall performance of the computer may be hampered.
Bottom line
As a conclusion, CTSCameraViewer seems to be the right choice in case you are looking for a simple-to-use application that comes bundled with only a few functions for helping you record video streams and take snapshots using your webcam.
