Cyberfox Portable Description
This is the portable edition of Cyberfox, an open-source web browser that basically represents a compiled edition of Firefox for 64-bit systems.
In other words, it intelligently uses 64-bit system resources, thus enabling the computer to run faster and smoother while you're surfing the Internet. It also offers support for 32-bit Windows.
Portable tool
Since installation is not a prerequisite, you can drop the program files to a custom location on the hard drive and click the executable to run.
It is also possible to save Cyberfox Portable to a USB flash disk, external hard drive or similar storage unit, in order to run the web browser on any machine with minimum effort and without prior installers.
An important aspect to take into account is that portable utilities do no add new entries to the Windows registry, so the risk of system failure does not increase.
Replaces Firefox
Cyberfox Portable's interface is similar to the one of Firefox, except for the fact that it adopts a black theme, compared to the well-known orange one.
Aside from Firefox's known features, Cyberfox lets you clean RAM cache and restart the web browser. CPU and RAM consumption is clearly lower during the application's runtime. We have not come across any issues throughout our evaluation, since the tool did not hang or crash.
One important factor to take into account is that Cyberfox (both installer and portable counterpart) replaces installed Firefox. Firefox is not removed from the computer, but double-clicking its executable file will launch Cyberfox. Deleting the portable app restores Firefox's status.
Bottom line
All in all, this web browser fixes the issue with Firefox running optimized for 64-bit systems, and it should please anyone who is looking to reduce system resources usage when navigating the web.
