Database Wizard Description

Large quantities of data are kept in databases, which can be found under quite the variety of formats, each with their own supported scripts for editing, and security options. SQL is a popular database type, and with the help of applications like Database Wizard, you can easily create, and update tables, and fields.

Set up database connection, and source folders

A little of your time, and effort are required to get the application up and running. However, for functions to properly work, it needs to be deployed on a PC which is already fitted with SQL Server, and is using a database.
The application doesn’t automatically connect, even though database files are on the same drive. Save and load paths need to be manually specified, which are best kept the same if you want details to properly update. On the other hand, there’s the possibility to set up connection to a different server by writing down appropriate credentials, and connection details.

Good, but far from being a pro

One of the core functions is to create tables. Sadly, there’s no possibility to view existing ones, so it’s best to first check for any existing fields, to avoid overwriting, or creating duplicate entries. The creation process itself can feel a little tricky, especially because you need to know the type of values, and characters to use in specific fields, such as table type, or DB type.
A little less effort is required when using the script, and database file generators. File paths need to be specified first, thus enabling the possibility to have a database CS file created in the save location, or to use scripts to drop existing tables, and implement custom ones created with the dedicated feature.

To sum it up

Taking everything into consideration, we can say that Database Wizard can be used to create, and insert tables inside existing SQL databases. Some initial tweaking needs to be done in order to configure source locations, while the overall process can feel a little rough around the edges overall.
