Decal Converter

Decal Converter is a simple-to-use program that lets you turn images into Decal files (WAD format), as the name implies.
This is a portable piece of software, so installing Decal Converter is not necessary. It means that you can save the app to a USB flash drive or similar storage unit, in order to run it on any computer with minimum effort.
What's more important is that the Windows Registry does not get new entries, and files are not left behind on the hard drive after removing the program.
The interface of the utility is based on a regular window with a plain and uncomplicated layout, where you can load an image file into the workspace using the file browser only, since "drag and drop" is unsupported. The app supports the BMP, GIF and JPG formats for the input.
It is possible to select the Decal format when it comes to the width and height, as well as to replace colors. You can save the picture to the Bitmap file type, or add it to a game folder. Furthermore, you can change the default game directories or access recently opened files.
Decal Converter is very light on the system resources, using a minimal amount of CPU and system memory. It has a good response time and carries out a conversion task rapidly, without causing the OS to hang, crash or pop up error dialogs. We haven't come across any issues in our tests. Thanks to its intuitive layout and overall simplicity, Decal Converter can be handled by all types of users, regardless of their skill level.
