Delay Calculator Description

Audio processing requires more than just an instrument and recording device. Proper building of effects and songs is tied to a whole variety of details, such as beats per minute, delays, and more. For instance, Delay Calculator is the type of tool to use when adding delay effects to songs need to be perfectly synchronized with tempo.

Results shown on the spot

You first go through the setup process to ensure the application’s functionality, process which doesn’t require much time or effort. However, the program doesn’t bind itself to system registry entries, so you can just as well deploy it on a thumb drive in case you need to use it on other computers besides your own.
Truth be told, the application is incredibly well-organized when it comes to the delivery of results, as well as input. Aesthetics are not really of any concern here, but this doesn’t mean the interface makes you look away. The style is clean, with intuitive fields and tags associated to each value field.

Various delay times to calculate

Since the application aims to convert beats per minute into different values to help generate delay, you need to provide the source tempo. In fact, it’s the only required value on your behalf, while all other fields update accordingly as you type. There’s already a default value inside the input field to provide an example of how transformation works.
A two-row table is used to display values of interest, one for regular, and the other for triplets. As results, you get to know the whole, half, quarter, eighth, sixteenth, thirtysecond, and twice the whole value. Note that results can’t be copied or exported, so you need to keep the window up until you’re done editing actual effects in your work.

A few last words

Taking everything into consideration, we can state that Delay Calculator is a nifty little tool which can almost instantly provide the required values. Input is done on the spot, while results are delivered as you type in an organized layout.
