Dielectric Test Description
Dielectric Test is a simple application written to create download and store test parameters required for the testing of insulation using a Sefelec Dielectric unit to test ground continuity and current leakage. Program download in this version is affected via an IEEE card interface. Up to 3 test units may be controlled via the software and setting the primary address of device. The card installed tick box top left corner should be set if IEEE card is fitted to PC and Dielectric Test unit connected. Test Programs to load are selected via the right hand window. The software can be in either programmer or operator mode. In programmer mode command lines 1 and 2 can be changed and test programs added or deleted. In Operator mode programs to load and the interface may be chosen but test parameters cannot be altered. Selecting the Operator or Programmer button alternates the user between Operator and programmer by the use of a password. Initial password set to password. In this mode the password may be changed Via Change Password. Tests may be added or deleted via the Add or Find and Delete buttons. Data loaded to the test unit via the IEEE card is entered into Commands Lines 1 and 2. The Test Instructions field is intended for user test guidance comments.
