DIZPad

The DIZPad application was developed to be a simple but useful little editor for creating and maintaining FILE_ID.DIZ files. This editor basically is like any other editor, except that it has visual markers to show the set standard limits of the file format. The editor does not explicitly forces any restriction, however the visual markers are there to show what are the standard FILE_ID.DIZ restrictions.
These restrictions are useful to know and abide to, because on some systems, sysops may delete entire zip files because their FILE_ID.DIZ is missing, or did not follow the conventions right.
To start creating a FILE_ID.DIZ file, Select File|New and type in your content in the text editor window. Always stay within the red parameters, passing the blue parameter is alright, but try to avoid the orange and red ones. When you are done, Select File|Save. To recall a DIZ file, Select File|Open.
