Tiny Notepad is a small piece of software that allows you to write down names, phone numbers, lists and anything else that you want to remember.

Comes with a plain, but customizable GUI

The application does not require installation, but you can modify the text and background colors so that they suit your work style and preferences. Unfortunately, you can make the color changes before you start typing your notes. It is necessary to mention that in spite of the appearance changes, the interface's appearance is still rather rugged and outdated.
Then again, the application works relatively smooth and should not give you any troubles. You can take a note by typing it down and pressing enter when you are done. You can choose whether you want to save the text to desktop and specify a name for the new file you created. On a side note, you can open the file with Notepad or any other text editor you are using.

Does not come with text formatting options

You should know that unlike other text editors, the application does not support the Paste function. Therefore, you cannot employ the application as a clipboard, unlike Windows' Notepad tool.
In addition, while you can write and correct the text content, the program does not offer you the possibility to format it. It would have been nice if the program came with a set of option that enabled you to change the font, style or size of the text, for instance. This feature would come in handy if you are writing multiple notes.

A simple tool for taking notes when you are on the run

While it does not include formatting options or does not give you many options in terms of saving the file, Tiny Notepad is a simple and easy to use note taking utility that could prove useful, especially if you are using an outdated hardware.
