Download Boost is a simple download manager that focuses on speed, aiming to help you grab files from online sources in the shortest time possible. As its name suggests, it can boost the download speed by providing up to 8 simultaneous connections.
The application comes with advanced functions that enable you to pause and resume downloads, create a download queue and so on. It features proxy support, clipboard monitoring and can send files to the installed antivirus software for scanning prior to saving them to the hard disk.
IIts interface is intuitive enough to make it suitable for both beginners and experienced users. It displays all the on-going, paused and queued downloads within an organized table, enabling you to monitor the download progress, view the estimated time, the size of the file oyu are about to grab and the description of the operation.
Creating a new task is simple, since you just have to provide the correct URL and set the output location. During the download process, it enables you to monitor the progress and view the transfer rate.
With a single click, you can start all the tasks, pause or stop them. For larger files that take a longer time to download, the application features automatic computer shutdown capabilities. As such, when the task is complete, the PC shuts down, without you having to wait up on it.
For your convenience, Download Boost can be integrated with Internet Explorer, so as to automatically handle initiated downloads and replace the default dialog of the browser.
