DVD-Toolbox

DVD-Toolbox is a simple-to-use program that allows you to create a copy of your DVD videos on the computer, in case you should lose the original discs.
The interface of the application is based on a standard window. You can import a DVD video by selecting its source drive from the list. So, you cannot copy DVD folders which are located on the hard drive.
Once you specify the working folder, audio stream and subtitle language, you can proceed with the process. In addition, you can access the "General Settings" area to set a post-task action (open working folder, ask, preview, burn to disc, close application, do nothing). Furthermore, you can set DVD-Toolbox to delete the temporary files after burning and to split the DVD movie.
The DVD video processing tool requires a moderate amount of CPU and system resources and can take a while to finish a task. It has a good response time and manages to preserve the original image and sound quality. We have not come across any issues throughout our testing; DVD-Toolbox did not freeze, crash or display error dialogs.
On the downside, you cannot preview DVD movies, select individual chapters for processing or preview clips in a built-in media player. DVD-Toolbox cannot be set to automatically turn off the computer when the task is done and you cannot process more than one DVD video in a single session. Also, the interface needs some improvements and there is no help file available. Nevertheless, we must take into account the fact that DVD-Toolbox has not been updated for a very long time.
