DXF Viewer Description
DXF Viewer is a straightforward application that enables users to view AutoCAD drawings with the DXF format, as the name implies.
This is a portable piece of software, so installation is not required. It is suffice to drop the program files anywhere on the hard drive and run the executable file immediately.
As an alternative, you can move DXF Viewer to a USB flash disk or similar storage unit, from where you can run it on any computer with minimum effort.
What's important to mention is that no entries are added to the Windows Registry, and files are not left behind on the hard disk after removing the program.
The interface of the program is made from a regular window with a plain and simple layout, where you can import a DXF file using either the file browser or "drag and drop" method.
You can select the objects that you want to view from a tree, zoom in and out, as well as check out object properties and log details. It is also possible to merge the current file with another one, print the drawing, repaint or restore it.
DXF Viewer is very low-demanding concerning CPU and system memory, using a minimal amount of resources. It has a good response time and works well, without causing the OS to hang, crash or pop up error dialogs. On the downside, DXF Viewer has not been updated for a pretty long time.
