EMail

EMail is a feather-light and portable application that you can use to easily send email messages via SMTP. It doesn't include complicated options or configuration settings, making it accessible to all types of users.

Portable tool with a simple GUI

The entire program's wrapped in a single .exe file that can be saved anywhere on the disk or copied to a USB flash drive, in order to run EMail on any machine effortlessly, without previous setup. It doesn't need DLLs to run, modify your system registry settings, or create files on the HDD without your permission.

Configure settings to send emails

As far as the interface goes, the utility opts for a normal window with a simple design and layout, where you can configure settings when it comes to the SMTP address, sender and receiver address, along with CC and BCC (if any).
It's possible to type or paste the message and subject, attach files, save a copy of the email to file, as well as send it with one click. There are no other notable options available here.

Evaluation and observations

It didn't put a strain on the overall performance of the machine in our tests, thanks to the fact that it required a low amount of CPU and RAM to work properly. It didn't hang or crash.
On the other hand, an error popped up on a couple of occasions when we attempted to send messages, preventing us from successfully accomplishing the task. We must also keep in mind that the program hasn't received updated for a long time and likely has compatibility issues with newer Windows editions.

Conclusion

All in all, EMail features simple options for sending email messages, backed by intuitive settings for all user levels. However, it's old and looks rudimentary.
