Straightforward, but intuitive design

First of all, you need to go through a setup process to make it work. However, registry entries are not altered in the process, so you can just as well deploy it on a thumb drive in case you want to use it on other computers. As such, you don’t have to worry about putting the stability of the target computer at risk.
The interface isn’t really meant to impress, but it doesn’t mean that you have a hard time accommodating with the set of features. Things are pretty straightforward, with a load dialog used to select one or more files for the operation, as well as the encrypt and decrypt functions to put the application to good use.

Possibility to encrypt multiple files at a time

The way the application secures your target files is through the Vernam cipher algorithm, which asks for a password to be used as a source of code scrambling. Needless to say that you need to provide the right password to be able to make the target file readable again. Additionally, you can use a public key as a password.
Encryption doesn’t take a lot of time, and, as mentioned, you can target multiple files at a time, which is a considerable advantage. Note, however, that original files are used in the process, so it’s recommended to create a backup first, just so you don’t forget the password and risk losing important files.

Bottom line is that Enigma might not offer multiple methods of encrypting files of interest, but it manages to offer just enough to get the job done. You can process multiple files at a time, but pay attention not to forget the password, or you risk losing files, because original items are processed.
