Eye Power Description
Eye Power is a simplistic application that can perform image analysis and recite the results. The program can detect the contents of the image by analyzing it, then create a small description made out of words, in order to portray it. The program is designed to help users with impaired vision.
Load picture and start analysis
Eye Power is lightweight, easy to use, yet rather powerful, given its function. The program is designed to analyze any image you load and return the results as keywords. For example, “outdoor†or “people†be easily be recognized in a picture. One of the most notable features of Eye Power is that it can recite the description in the currently selected Windows voice.
The application is built with the help of Microsoft Vision API, which enables it to analyze the contents of a picture and identify certain parameters. Thus, Eye Power is suitable for users with impaired view who wish to open pictures.
Load pictures from local folders or from the Internet
Eye Power supports analyzing the content of the loaded image, regardless of their source: the supported environments are local folders and websites. The first option requires that you select the file from its host folder, while the second prompts you to enter the picture’s URL.
The analysis can automatically start as soon as you load the image, but in case it does not, you may refresh or restart the process. The result of the analysis is returned in the form of keywords, displayed in the designated box and recited at the same time.
Simple to use image reader
Eye Power can generate descriptions even for images without any (relevant) EXIF information. The supported formats are limited to JPG, BMP, PNG and GIF, some of the most common image types. Moreover, the description is sometimes vague, incorrect or incomplete, which is why the program could benefit from a larger library/database of definitions.
