File Lock Description

File Lock is a tool with a pretty self-explanatory title. It can help you lock your files and folders.
This type of software is necessary the moment you are sharing a computer with multiple users and prefer to maintain a level of privacy.
The interface of the application consists of a standard window in which you can add files and folders by using the file browser or the "drag and drop" method. Batch processing is supported.
So, you can lock a file, folder or drive, unlock selected items, as well as encrypt files.
Furthermore, you can configure a scheduling option (always, daily, weekly, monthly), hide items, manage multiple accounts (so, more users can share File Lock), disable plugins, configure advanced options (e.g. activate or deactivate File Lock, switch to invisible mode, show context menu in Windows Explorer), as well as change interface font and language, and more.
The program takes up a low-to-moderate amount of system resources, includes a comprehensive help file and didn't freeze or crash during our tests. However, it popped up an error when we attempted to lock a file. It seems that its size was too small.
All in all, File Lock is a good tool for locking, hiding and encrypting files, folders and drives. But it doesn't really offer anything special. Nevertheless, we suggest you test it for yourself.
