Finalbird

Finalbird is a reliable program that enables you to change the layout of the Start menu, especially in Windows 8 and 8.1. The application can replace the full screen Start menu in newer versions of Windows with the classical pop-up menu, used in Windows 7 and earlier. Moreover, it adds specific functions to the Start menu.

Finalbird can change the layout of the Start menu in Windows 8 and 8.1, by replacing the full screen menu with the classical pop-up structure. It can also customize the Start menu in Windows 7 and Window 10, by adding specific functions: open favorite folders and favorite programs.
Aside from changing the way you use Start menu, the application also features a series of shortcuts that allow you to quickly access folders. This way you can open most often visited locations with one mouse click. There are several ways in which you can open a favorite folder, depending on your preferences.

Shortcuts to folders

Finalbird can add a context menu at the scroll wheel of your mouse, so that you can access favorite folders, applications or Control Panel from anywhere on your desktop. Similarly, a small arrow, near the system tray offers the same menu, or when you wish to save a new file.
An extra context menu pops-up near the Save/Save As… window, allowing you to quickly select one of your favorite folders. These menus can easily be configured: all you need to do is right-click on the desired folder/application and select “add to Finalbird”.

Quick access to folders

Finalbird is designed to ease the access to your favorite folders and applications, by changing the layout of the Start menu, in Windows 7 and later. You may access a context menu by clicking on the wheel button on your mouse or use the keyboard shortcuts in order to prompt a favorite folders menu or programs.
