Free Audio Splitter Description
Free Audio Splitter is a lightweight and fairly simple to understand piece of software that was designed to help you divide a song or a recording into multiple segments, of a preferred length, with just a few swift mouse moves.
Intuitive and practical looks
The application displays a clean and straightforward appearance, making it easy to handle for anyone, yet targeting primarily novices, judging by the lack of customizable options.
The main window allows you to add the files that you want to split into several parts, while from a dedicated menu, you can choose the preferred duration for the generated pieces.
Effortlessly divide your music files into equal segments
Free Audio Splitter supports multiple formats, including MP3, WMA, W4A, AAC, OGG, FLAC, and others. The files can be added individually or in batch, by browsing through your computer and loading them into the utility or by drag and dropping them over the main window.
In terms of output options, you can choose the destination folder and the time interval for each split. The values range from one second to two hours, but it also lets you manually customize the duration, by entering the amount of seconds, minutes or hours that you need.
Finally, you can press the ‘Split Start’ button and the files you be generated one after the other, adding a default suffix to their name (‘chunk0’, ‘chunk1’, etc). However, Free Audio Splitter features no other adjustable preferences and options, the entire process being quite basic.
A handy tool for splitting songs
All in all, Free Audio Splitter proves to be an effective and user-friendly program that you can resort to in case you want to break your music files into several parts, as it allows you to decide the total length for the output items.
