Free GIF2SWF Converter is an application with a self-explanatory title - it lets you encode GIF animations to the SWF format, supported by Flash.
The program comes with a standard interface in which you can import GIFs via the file browser only, since the "drag and drop" method is not supported. Batch processing is allowed.
So, you can specify the output folder and proceed with the conversion process. In addition, you can specify the number of frames per second and target URL, along with quality (low, normal or high).
Furthermore, you can extract files in the BMP, PNG, JPG or TGA format, as well as switch to batch processing mode.
The conversion program takes up a very small amount of system resources, quickly finishes a task and didn't cause us any difficulties during our tests. There is no help file available but that's because Free GIF2SWF Converter can be easily used by individuals with any experience level.
On the other hand, the software failed to perform a couple of conversions during our tests, since we were not able to open the SWF files with any media player. Plus, you cannot configure program settings and the interface is pretty outdated. But, even so, we strongly recommend Free GIF2SWF Converter to all users who want a straightforward tool.
