Free Video Converter Expert Description

Uploading a video on a particular online service might impose some limitations regarding size or quality. This might leave you stuck or cost some precious time. In case you often have to do with videos but don’t want to stumble upon this issue very often, Free Video Converter Expert can help through quick and efficient conversion.

Neat file support for import and export

The application’s main window holds all elements you get to work with, so a quick look around the central panel and available formats quickly get you up and running. Although it can feel a little rough on design, aesthetics are not the main focus here, and the process usually goes smooth.
Adding files is done either through drag and drop over a specific area, or using the built-in browse dialog. You can only process one file at a time though. On the other hand, supported formats include MP4, AVI, MKV, MPG, WMV, MOV, MP3, AAC, and WAV for both import and export.

Good, but far from being a pro

As soon as a file loads, all related details are shown in a dedicated panel, from where it’s possible to copy it in case you want to build a report with data. Unfortunately, there’s no preview are to skip through content or double check whether you added the right file. What’s more, editing needs to be done with other apps, because there aren’t any options in this regard.
Output is the same as the source, and there’s no way to change this, and not even a prompt shows up before going through with conversion. Quality options can be configured by easily adjusting values like frames per second, width and height, video and audio bit rates. Modify these values right before conversion, because selecting a different format discards them and replaces with default ones.

To end with

Bottom line is that with all the popularity of multimedia online and the diversity of encoders used to build files, it’s pretty difficult to work with one format alone in all fields. This is where Free Video Converter Expert comes in handy, and deserves a try overall, even if there are a few missing things, like preview area and editing options.
