FreeBassTuner Description

FreeBassTuner is a reliable software designed to produce genuine bass guitar sounds and thus help you calibrate the strings on your musical instrument. The application is simple to use, lightweight and is capable of repeating the sound of a chord, in order for you to correctly tune your guitar.

Genuine bass guitar chords

By default, the sound stemming from guitar string corresponds to a specific chord, without applying pressure points. Thus, for each bass guitar, the strings represent the E1, A1, D2, respectively G2 chords. For 5 strings guitars, the B0 chord is added. FreeBassTuner offers the genuine sounds of these strings.
The software allows you to toggle the 4 strings or 5 strings modes, depending on the type of bass guitar you own. Simply click on either of the chord buttons and listen to the sound produced by the software. You can easily stretch or loosen each individual string in order to match the sound from FreeBassTuner.

Switch between several pitches

FreeBassTuner offers you several frequencies that you can switch between, in order to fine tune your bass guitar. Thus, you may select between the baroque, scintific, France 1859, New Philarmonic, concert, Boston Symphony Orchestra, New Berliner Philharmonic, Old Berliner Philharmonic, Old Philarmonic and Renaissance pitches.
Each of these pitch modes correspond to a different frequency. For instance, the default mode is set for a 440 Hz frequency, while the baroque pitch is set for 415 Hz and the Renaissance pitch corresponds to 460 Hz. All the other pitches are sorted by the frequency, in ascending order.

A useful tool for guitar string calibration

It is often that the strings of a guitar get loosened and give out a different sound than they should. FreeBassTuner is especially created to help you correctly calibrate the strings on your guitar, by offering you the genuine sounds of the bass strings. Moreover, you can use the Repeat button and enable the software to continuously play the selected chord, until you correctly calibrate the corresponding string.
