Freeraser Portable

Freeraser Portable is a lightweight application built specifically for helping you delete files from your computer. Since this is the portable version of Freeraser, you can copy the program on any USB flash drive or other devices, and take it with you whenever you need to remove files and folders from a hard drive.
Once you run the app, Freeraser Portable places a small bin on the desktop, and you can access all its options with a simple right-click on the program’s icon. An online help menu is also available, so you can make the most out of each feature. You can either drag and drop the documents into the bin, or use the browse function.
It is possible to customize the application’s look by selecting from five different icon sizes (extra large, large, medium, small, extra small), and by picking the transparency level.
Freeraser Portable provides three modes for securely erasing data from your computer, namely fast, forced and ultimate. As the name of the first one implies, this is the fastest mode that you can use, in order to get rid of the files and folders from your computer. The other two modes are slower, but they focus on destroying the information, so that no other software recovery tool can restore it.
During our testing we have noticed that the program remains light on the system resources and removes files pretty quickly. Of course, the time needed to complete the erasing process pretty much depends on the size of the selected files.
