Gamelan Description
Gamelan is a software program capable of playing audio tracks of multiple formats, namely MP3, WAV and MID. It can be handled by users of any level of experience, even novices.
This is a portable application, so installing Gamelan is not required. It means that you can save the tool to a USB flash drive or other similar device, store it on any computer and directly run its executable file.
What's more important is that the Windows Registry is not updated with new entries, and no leftover files can be found on the hard drive after program removal.
The interface of the application is based on small window with a standard layout. Unfortunately, the frame needs some serious improvements in the visual department.
So, you can use the folder view to load one or more songs into the audio player. Therefore, you can create, save and load playlists. Gamelan supplies you with some standard audio player functions. For example, you can check out the current time, enable repeat mode, and play the first, last, previous or next song.
The simple-to-use program runs on a very low quantity of CPU and system memory, so it is not a concern to the computer's performance. It has a good response time and worked smoothly during our testing, without hanging, crashing or popping up error dialogs.
On the downside, Gamelan has limited features. For instance, you cannot enable shuffling mode or navigate back and forth within the current track. However, we must take into account the fact that Gamelan has never been updated.
