GCS Budget

It can be quite a difficult task to keep track of all of your spending, but it can be quite rewarding if you succeed. Fortunately, there are some applications that could come to your aid.
One of them is GCS Budget. It's a small and simple software solution that helps you manage a personal budget and keep track of all of your expenses. However, it needs some more features and tools.

Small and rudimentary graphical interface

The application installs quickly, but it's no surprise, since it sports a really small and basic graphical interface with only a few tools at hand. It doesn't come with any customization options, in fact it even lacks a toolbar with access to other sections.
It comes with some tips and instructions, but you wouldn't really need them considering that the application only has a few tools and features.

Manage your personal budget

The main window consists of a table in which you can add information. You simply need to add the date, expense type and subtype. It would have been nice if it came with a built-in calendar for navigating to certain days and months.
It automatically calculates the total expenses on a certain day and provides you with a monthly total. It doesn't have any categories, which means that you can't get information on the types of expenses that have the biggest impact on your budget.

Some more tools and features

Once you're created a database with your expenses, you can view data during a certain time interval. You can create reports for expenses in a certain month, but it doesn't come with the option to export information.
You can add an unlimited number of entries inside the application, but it would have been nice if you could highlight certain expenses or lock access inside the program with a password.
All in all, GCS Budget is a very useful application that helps you track expenses and create some reports, but it definitely needs some more features.
