Google Search File Finder is a lightweight and portable piece of software that provides direct access to Google, as the name says. It targets all types of users, regardless of their skill level.
Since installation is not a requirement, you can drop the executable file anywhere on the hard drive and run it directly.
Alternatively, you can store Google Search File Finder on a USB flash drive or similar removable device, in order to run it on any computer. Therefore, the tool can be safe in your pocket whenever you're on the move.
What should be mentioned is that no items remain on the hard drive or in the Windows Registry after program removal.
The interface of the application is based on a small, resizable window that you can move to any position on the screen, with the help of the mouse cursor.
Google Search File Finder's sole purpose is to locate on Google a term you specify, along with its file type to filter results. Once you click the Search button (the Enter key is not functional), the utility opens a page in the default web browser and reveals results.
Unfortunately, Google Search File Finder does not integrate any configuration options. For example, you cannot minimize it to the system tray area or use the standard cut, copy and paste functions, available through the context menu (however, the global hotkeys work).
The application is not a concern to the computer's resources, since it uses a very low amount of CPU and system memory. It has a good response time and finishes a searching task rapidly, without causing any issues, such as hanging or crashing.
On the downside, the app has not been updated for a very long time. All in all, Google Search File Finder provides a quick solution to locate items on Google according to their file type, and it can be seamlessly figured out, even by first-time users.
