GoPC Backup Description
When creating multiple projects on a computer, most users also choose to often backup their documents, to make sure they can easily restore them to a previous version in case anything goes wrong. GoPC Backup is a handy app that can help you quickly backup your files or cleanup old ones with as little hassle as possible.
The software utility does not require any installation to the host computer, which means that it does not add any entries to the Windows Registry and it does not necessarily need to be run on a powerful computer.
The main role of GoPC Backup is to backup files from virtual machines to the host PC, while also allowing users to copy their backup files to network shares or connected removable drives. However, it can also be used for making full backups of your files and folders to the destination location you want.
When running it for the first time, the application will require you to select the folder you want to backup, specify the output filename and choose the target folder. At this point, you get the chance to set it to backup to the virtual machine host and you will also need to enter the location of the VM host archive.
The next step is to select the additional backup devices where you want to automatically copy your backups to - the more devices you choose, the safer your files will be, but you will also require more time to complete the task.
The final step is to specify the time when you want the backup to take place, assuming you want to it to occur on a daily basis. If you are not interested in automating this job, you can simply run it whenever you see fit, without any scheduler.
All in all, GoPC Backup can come in handy when it comes to creating backups for your documents to several target locations.
