Gregorian Description

Although it doesn’t really exist, time is one of the most important resources we have, helping us synchronize everything, and reach the technological wonders of today. To better analyze time, Gregorian is a lightweight application which is capable of generating a calendar for a year of choice, also showing leap years.

Various year details displayed

Before you can actually enjoy all the application has to offer, you need to check whether your computer is fitted with Java Runtime Environment, because it’s a mandatory requirement for functionality. On the other hand, the application itself doesn’t need to be install, and can thus be used directly from a flash drive, without affecting the stability of the target PC.
All you need to generate, and navigate is found in the main window. Effort on your behalf is minimum, with most of the space being used to provide relevant details, such as selected year, number of years since 1800, leap years since 1800, calculated offset value, and whether or not your input is leap year.

Can only display a calendar, not export one

A calendar is also displayed when generating info. This is done for a single month though, with it being specified as a value from 1 to 12 in a dedicated field. Apart from month, year also needs to be specified. For whatever reason, the lower input limit is 1800, and writing a lower value simply resets the field to the limit.
What the application lacks is the possibility to export details. It would have been pretty useful to be able to export a calendar of the selected year, at least under the TXT format. You can’t interact with the calendar at all, so don’t bother trying to set reminders.

On an ending note

All things considered, we can say that Gregorian is a little underprepared for what it wants to deliver. The inferior limit is rather disturbing, with a particular emphasis which seems to be on leap years. However, the largest impact on practicality is delivered by the lack of any export options.
