HappyFish Description

HappyFish is a simple-to-use program that can check for feed updates at a user-defined time interval. It can be used by individuals of any level of experience.
The interface of the application is clean and pretty intuitive. Adding a feed to the list can be done by entering its URL. Plus, you can make HappyFish catalog enclosures on the first feed check.
The file list shows the publication date, title, size, date of acquirement and comment for each item.  It is possible to view the content of each feed on the bottom part of the screen.
In addition, you can use a search function with filters, import and export data to OPML, view downloads and items in synchronization mode, as well as disable the panels, common or search toolbar. From the 'Options' menu, you can make HappyFish automatically look for devices at program startup.
Several configuration settings are available for more experienced users. Therefore, you can change the default download directory and set the maximum number of simultaneous downloads, set the scheduling parameters and configure proxy settings, as well as restore all dialogs preferences to their default values.
The program requires a moderate quantity of CPU and system memory, includes user documentation and has a good response time. It worked smoothly during our evaluation, without freezing, crashing or popping up error dialogs; we have not come across any errors. Too bad the tool has not been updated for a long time. Otherwise, HappyFish can be easily handled, even by less experienced users.
