Hash Kracker Console Description

Encrypted passwords are a good way to keep your data secure and protected from any form of unauthorized access, especially if you are planning on transferring the said data over the Internet.
But, things can get complicated if you forget the password to your documents, since encryption hashes are very hard to penetrate.

Perform dictionary and brute force attack operations

Hash Kracker Console is an application that enables you to recover your password-protected files using a variety of methods to solve the hash algorithms and remove the encryption. You can choose between dictionary, hybrid and brute force attacks, each one of them being specialized for different types of situations.
The dictionary attack requires a text file containing a massive list of usual words, which are used one by one in attempt to guess the password. The hybrid method includes numbers as well, so it can use combinations like “password123”. As for the brute force attack, it works by attempting every possible letter and number combination, although it is much slower than the other two options.

Bypass MD5, SHA-256 or SHA-1 hashes

Hash Kracker Console enables you to decrypt various types of hashes, including SHA-256, MD5 or SHA-512. Some of them are harder to pry open, due to the greater number bits used for the encryption, such as the SHA-512, which uses a 512 bits encryption strength.
The application works best if you are working with half-known passwords, meaning that you remember only a fragment of it and you need to find out the rest. You can also specify the pattern to be used, the maximum and minimum character length, or include a list of special words. The verbose messages and prompts can be disabled as well by entering the quiet mode.

Conclusion

Encrypted passwords can be very hard to recover, especially of you do not remember any part of it, but Hash Kracker Console can help you nonetheless. The command-line interface is not exactly user-friendly, but you can quickly learn the available commands by accessing the help menu of the application.
