HDConvertToX

HDConvertToX is a software application designed to help you convert high-definition video files from Blu-ray or HD DVD discs to DIVX or NMT file format, and perform muxing operations as well.
Since this is a portable program, it is important to mention that it doesn’t leave any traces in the Windows Registry. You can copy it on any USB flash drive or other devices, and take it with you whenever you need to convert video items on the breeze.
It sports a clean and straightforward interface that gives users the possibility to add files using the “drag and drop” support, or built-in browse function.
HDConvertToX lets you analyze video files and get data about them, such as frame rate, total number of frames, length, video format, aspect ratio, and others.
What’s more, you can select the encoder from a preset list, add files to a queue list, set up the cropping parameters, preview the video files with an external tool, resize the clips, and opt for an anamorphic encoding mode.
When it comes to configuring the video parameters, the tool lets you select the encoding mode, and apply denoising and deinterlacing filters, while the audio ones can be tweaked in terms of bitrate, channels, and other options as well.
Other important features worth mentioning are represented by the possibility to embed subtitles into a movie without having the possibility to hide them, and mux SRT subtitles in AVI files and SRT, SSA, IDX, and SUB file format in MP4 or MKV containers.
Last but not least, you can view a log with details about the performed operations and possible errors, export the log to a file, specify the saving directory, as well as use a built-in bitrate calculator.
All in all, HDConvertToX offers many useful tools for helping you carry out conversion operations, but the layout is not very intuitive, so rookies may spend some trying to configure the dedicated parameters.
