HexEdit

HexEdit is a small and portable application that you can use to view the content of any file and edit its hexadecimal code. It can be primarily used by experienced individuals.
Since installation is not an issue, you can just extract the program files to any location on the hard disk and run the executable file immediately.
Alternatively, you can save HexEdit to an external hard drive or USB flash drive, and run it on any computer. This way, you can carry the app with you whenever you're on the go.
From the technical perspective, the Windows Registry area does not receive entry updates, and files are not left behind on the hard drive after program removal.
The interface of the application is user-friendly. Files can be opened in the workspace with the help of either the file browser or "drag and drop" function.
So, you can use a function to locate various data types, such as hexadecimal code, ANSI strings, words or bytes, jump to a specific address, reverse the specified range of bytes, as well as insert a number of bytes into the document.
The viewing mode can be selected between hexadecimal, decimal, octal and binary. Plus, you can show the decimal offset and lowercase hexadecimal values, as well as fit as many columns as possible in the window.
