iAlarm Description
iAlarm is a small software application whose purpose is to help you set up alarms so you can remember important events.
Portable running mode
The tool is portable so you may opt for keeping it stored on pen drives or other portable devices to carry it with you all the time. Plus, you may run it without having to apply administrative privileges. The utility can be opened directly from the storage device.
It does not create entries in your Windows registry and generate additional configuration items so you may get rid of it without having to appeal to third-party uninstallers. A simple deletion task does the job. Gaining access to its interface is quite easy. You only need to double-click on the executable file because you do not have to go through an installation process.
Configure alarms
iAlarm gives you the possibility to set up a new alarm by providing information about the time in hours, minutes, and seconds. In addition, you can check out the current time directly in the main window and start the timer with ease. The utility plays a preset sound notification when the time is up.
Tests have pointed out that iAlarm carries out a task quickly. It remains light on system resources so the overall performance of the computer is not hampered. On the downside, it has not been updated for a long time so you may come across all sorts of bugs and compatibility issues on newer operating systems.
Final remarks
To sum things up, iAlarm comes bundled with basic features and has to offer nothing more than a simple software solution for helping you configure alarms. It is suitable especially for less experienced users. On the downside, there’s no support for advanced options so you cannot import custom audio files from your computer, activate multiple alarms, show custom popup messages, and open certain programs, just to name a few suggestions.
