Imagicon Description
Imagicon is a very simple tool that allows you to batch convert images (from the BMP, JPG or PNG format) to BMP, JPG, PNG or ICO files.
Minimalistic looks
The tool's interface is a small window in which you can add images by using the file browser or the "drag and drop" method.
Output configuration settings
In the "Options" menu, you can configure the saving mode. This means that you can select the output format and quality, as well as optionally append a saved file name.
In addition, you can specify the output path (same as the source image folder or a custom one) and reset settings to default.
Adjust image dimensions and apply filters
Furthermore, you can transform images by using a slider or pixel dimensions (optionally constrain proportions and enable bi-linear filtering), by flipping them horizontally/vertically or by applying a black and white filter.
The icon settings can also be modified when it comes to size and transparency (you can select the color and enable zero encoded alpha). Last but not least, you can change the color of Imagicon's background.
Performance
The tool uses a low-to-moderate amount of system resources and includes a well-drawn help file. We haven't come across any issues during our tests, since everything runs smoothly.
Bottom line
Power users could be a little disappointed by the limited features offered by Imagicon, but novices can use it with confidence. So, the only thing left is for you to try out Imagicon.
