Inspector Text

inspector text is an Add-In for Microsoft Excel that adds powerful worksheet formula functions for working with text in worksheet cells. Use inspector text search and replace functions in your worksheet formulas to specify text you want to find or replace, with almost unlimited flexibility and versatility and in extreme detail. Stop letting Excel hold you back with the limitations of its built-in search and replace worksheet functions. Use inspector text fuzzy matching functions in your worksheet formulas to determine whether the text in two cells are similar, and exactly how similar they are, or find the characters they have in common.

Inspector Text also adds worksheet formula functions that exclude or retrieve lists of characters from text, that return ordinal indicators for cardinal numbers ("1st" for 1, "2nd" for 2...), that evaluate concatenated formulas (even if the arithmetic operator is text), and that perform Regular Expressions search and replace. Inspector Text also provides online help from Excels Tools menu, and utilizes Excels Insert Function dialog to make using Inspector Text functions more convenient. If youre a programmer, Inspector Texts functions can be called directly from your own programming code.
