InstallSelect is a software application that was built using Delphi 5 in order to aid people select specific setup programs from an installation CD.

This product is portable which means that you are not required to go through the setup process. In addition to that, the Windows registry is not going to be changed in any way, unless it receives your prior approval.
It is possible to take InstallSelect anywhere with you and run it on the fly by simply moving the program files to a USB thumb drive.

Options at your disposal

This tool is quite simple and it is completely customizable. To be more precise, you can easily change the header, as well as up to five slots dedicated to program setup packs. These coordinates can be dealt with by opening the “programs.txt” file in a text editor and saving everything.
At the next launch of InstallSelect, you will be able to see your configurations and start installing the items that interest you, by simply selecting an item from the list and clicking the “Install” button.
If the utility runs into an error, it will display it a separate window, otherwise the setup process will run in a typical manner.

The computer’s performance is not going to be affected in any way, as it does not require a large amount of resources in order to work properly, while the response time is good. The interface is quite friendly to all users and we did not come across any hangs or bugs in our tests.
All in all, InstallSelect proves to be a pretty decent piece of software when it comes to setting up particular apps from an installation CD.
