Internet Explorer Password Recovery Description
Internet Explorer Password Recovery is an application made to recover passwords to dial-up network connections, in case you have lost or forgotten them.
It automatically identifies and displays the keys without your intervention. Moreover, it offers a couple of options involving the Content Advisor feature of Internet Explorer.
This is a portable product, so there's no installer available. You can copy the downloaded .exe file anywhere on the computer or copy it to a USB flash drive, in order to seamlessly run Internet Explorer Password Recovery on any machine without any previous setup.
No DLLs or other software components are required (apart from Internet Explorer, which is built into Windows). Plus, the tool doesn't add new entries to the system registry or create new files without your permission.
Simple interface and options
Made of a small panel that contains two separate areas for the dial-up and Content Advisor passwords, the interface has a rudimentary appearance and is easy to navigate. As previously mentioned, the dial-up keys are autodetected and shown in this window, so you can copy them to the Clipboard for safekeeping.
When it comes to the Content Advisor module in Internet Explorer, the utility gives you the possibility to reset the IE password, set it to "1234", as well as enable or disable this feature with one click. There are no other noteworthy options available.
Internet Explorer Password Recovery hasn't been updated for a long time. The project has been discontinued and can no longer be purchased from the developer's website. However, you can still download and run it from Softpaz if you already have a license.
Unfortunately, the demo version has severe restrictions and only gives you a glimpse of the tool. It can only recover keys made from one or two characters, and keeps the Content Advisor options blocked.
