IP-Address Range Pinger Description
IP-Address Range Pinger is a Windows freebie developed to help users find active network computers by pinging the entire IP range.
Although it may sound like rocket science to rookies, this app can be safely installed by all those who know what’s that a “pingâ€, as it does nothing more than to ping your network IP range.
It’s all possible thanks to a plain and simple GUI showing not only the essential network information, but also ping session results.
Basically, the app requires minimal user input, as the only thing you can change is the network card you wish to use for the new ping session. Other than that, IP-Address Range Pinger automatically scans and displays computer hostname, IP, subnet, gateway, DNS and IP range to be pinged.
The app shows the time for each pinged network computer, without resolving hostnames or at least letting you to open the target systems.
Which means that IP-Address Range Pinger remains a very basic piece of software, and while that’s okay for rookies, experienced users may find the lack of essential features quite frustrating.
On the other hand, IP-Address Range Pinger works like a charm on all Windows versions and doesn’t affect the overall stability of the workstation.
To sum up, IP-Address Range Pinger is an app that does what it says with minimum user input. Still, as compared to many other similar apps, it lacks so many features that it’s impossible to see an experienced computer user relying on this tool on a regular basis.
