IP Subnet Calculator

Designed for the Yahoo! Widget Engine platform, IP Subnet Calculator is a small tool that, as the name says, it calculates the subnet based on your computer's IP address. It can be effortlessly used.
The interface of the tool is represented by a standard window with a simple layout. You can move this frame to any position on the screen, with the help of the mouse cursor.
All you have to do is enter the IP address, CIDR mask and subnet mask (traditional format). IP Subnet Calculator instantly reveals the network address, address class, broadcast address, subnet or supernet status, first host address, total addresses, inverse mask and CIDR.
It is also possible to change the color overlay for the frame, from the Widget Preferences panel, available through the right-click menu.
Thanks to the default options provided by the Yahoo! Widget Engine, you can also set the window to stay on top or below all the other frames, to ignore mouse events and to prevent dragging. Plus, you can set the opacity to a preset value between 20% and 100%.
IP Subnet Calculator does not put a strain on the computer's overall performance, as it uses a very low amount of CPU and system memory. It has a good response time and runs smoothly, without hanging, crashing or popping up error dialogs. On the downside, IP Subnet Calculator has not been updated for a very long time, but we must also keep in mind that the Yahoo! Widget Engine project has been discontinued.
