iPlayer Description
Developed for the Yahoo! Widget Engine, iPlayer is a small widget that lets you quickly control the iTunes media player, directly from your desktop. It can be easily installed and set up, regardless of the user's skill level.
The interface of the app is represented by a small frame that you can move to any position on the screen, with the help of the mouse cursor.
So, you can play and pause the current track, go to the previous or next one, as well as boost or decrease the volume. When you hover the mouse cursor over the frame, you may also view the artist and song name of the current track.
By opening the context menu, you can access the Widget Preferences area to make some adjustments. Therefore, you can alter the default text color and font. Thanks to the default options provided by the Yahoo! Widget Engine, you can make the frame stay on top or below all the other windows, ignore mouse commands and prevent dragging. But it is also possible to adjust its opacity level between 20% and 100%.
The lightweight tool does not put a strain on the computer's overall performance, as it runs on a very low quantity of system memory and CPU. We have not come across any issues throughout our tests; the utility did not cause the Yahoo! Widget Engine to freeze, crash or pop up error dialogs. All in all, iPlayer provides a simple method for quickly accessing iTunes player commands.
