Jcropper Description

Images help give a personal touch to any project. To get the picture just right it needs to suffer from a series of adjustments. Computer applications make this easier and when it comes to cutting out pieces, Jcropper tries to prove that it is a process done in only a matter of seconds, regardless of your experience in image editing.

A lightweight and straightforward graphics editor

Taking up around 1 Mb of space on your hard disk drive and extremely little system resources, this application can be run on any machine. The whole process only depends on how fast you can work with the mouse, as there are not a lot of features to take advantage of.
You can load a file and have it ready for cropping either by dragging it on the main window or through the file menu.

Create custom cropping settings

One your desired picture is displayed in the main workspace, you can zoom in and out to get a better view on the details. Hitting the “Cropping” button gives you access to needed tools in order to chop down parts of interest.
You can drag the mouse around a selected area. This lets you further adjust borders and move the selection rectangle around, in case the initial section does not suit your needs. Moreover, you are able to set several custom aspect ratio samples to quickly apply to any given picture.
This can come in handy, because there is no integrated function to allow batch processing. Furthermore, you are only able to work with a limited amount of formats, which further reduces long term usability.

To end with

All in all, Jcropper is a quick solution to chopping down parts of any picture that matches the supported format. The application is easy enough to use, regardless of your previous experience with image editors. It is a pity that batch processing is not implemented, but overall it succeeds on proving its point.
