jdotxt Description
If you need to keep track of multiple tasks each with its own prerequisites and deadlines, but want to make sure that you do not leave anything out, then one idea would be to create a to-do list.
jdotxt is a small utility designed to simplify your activity management via a clean organization in contexts or as part of larger projects.
Comes with a clean and airy interface
Following a quick and forthright installation, you are welcomed by a clean and well-structured interface that is fairly easy to navigate. The GUI consists of three panels that display the large projects, contexts and the actual tasks.
Functionality-wise, the tool is as simple as it looks and you can add a task by specifying the name and then adding it to the desired context and project. You should know that the pending and completed tasks are both available in plain text files. Therefore, not only can you open the lists using various devices, but you can also edit them if necessary.
Arrange your tasks in according to contexts and projects
The idea behind the program is to provide you with a clean and intuitive environment for creating lists of activities or tasks that you need to get done within a certain timeframe. The highlight is that you do not have to waste too much time organizing the tasks, as you can easily include them in projects and context using the + and respectively @ symbols.
Even though you can organize your to-do list in accordance with their priority, you should bear in mind that the application does not feature an alarm system. A feature that alerts you whenever a task is almost due can help you keep track of smaller tasks that you are likely to forget, such as making a call or sending a paper, for instance.
A straightforward task organizer app
In the eventuality that you are involved in multiple projects at the same time and you want to make sure that you take care of all the critical tasks in a timely manner, then perhaps jdotxt could lend you a hand.
