There are probably too many things you need to remember on a daily basis, let alone throughout the entire year. It can simply be the case with birthdays of your acquaintances. As such, JRememberme comes as a slim little tool to remind you in advance of upcoming events just in case you want to make a nice gift or plan a party.

Slim, organized visual design

It doesn’t take a lot of time or effort to go through the setup process, but there’s one thing you need to check to make the application work, and that’s whether or not Java Runtime Environment is on your computer. This also means that it’s possible to make it work on other operating systems than Windows, since Java is platform-independent.
An empty canvas shows up on launch, wrapped around a pretty intuitive design. A large list gets filled with all entries you add, a filter is there to help you identify items of interest, while the upper toolbar contains necessary functions to create and edit items, view details, delete, or access the application’s set of properties.

Set up details and alert methods

Unfortunately, adding all details to an item is divided into two steps. Adding the actual entry to the list only requires you to provide a name, but there are more details to add, for which a different panel needs to be accessed. Here, you get the chance to include the reminder date, contact details, and a few more.
When not used, the application resides to the tray area. Notifications usually come under the form of a text message, but you can add email credentials and connection details to a server in case you want a custom message to be automatically sent to the individual in question.

All things considered, we can state that JRememberme might not really come with an abundance set of features to set up reminders, but it can get the job done in case you’re really interested in remembering specific events related to individuals. An automatic email delivery system can be configured, or you can just be notified through an on-screen message.
