Koala Description

Koala represents a straightforward solution to creating bootable USB flash disks. It is portable and packs standard and advanced features, ideal for all types of users.
Since installation is not a requirement, you can drop the executable file somewhere on the hard disk and click it to run.
As an alternative, you can carry Koala on a USB flash drive, memory card or similar storage unit, and be ready to create bootable drives on any machine quickly and without prior installers.
What's more, the utility does not add new entries to the Windows Registry, Start menu/screen, or any other area of the computer. A standard file deletion is enough to remove Koala.
The interface consists of a regular window with a well-organized layout, where you can ask the tool to scan the source drives (CD/DVD or mounted image) and output drive. Information on these locations contains the drive letter, model, label, size (in bytes), revision, description, manufacturer, device ID, and serial number. The bootable disk is created automatically, with the simple click of a button.
In addition, you can enable the utility to eject the source disc and shut down or restart the system on task completion. Additional settings allow you to log activity in full detail and save the file to the desktop, specify the countdown timer for system shutdown/restart, as well as ask the tool to scan for devices automatically at startup, and to show the "Safely Remove Hardware" window when the process is over.
Koala offers multilingual support, takes a reasonable amount of time to finish a task, and uses very low CPU and RAM. It doesn't slow down overall performance or interrupt normal activity, since it can be minimized to the taskbar when it’s busy. However, its reaction speed is not excellent when scanning the peripherals. Nevertheless, we have not come across any issues in our evaluation. Koala serves its purpose without error.
