KVYcam

KVYcam is a straightforward utility that enables you to record content from an available webcam, as well as your desktop, and connect the device to multiple other applications. It is fairly intuitive, and it offers quite a few useful features.

Simple webcam and desktop capture tool that allows you to connect several programs to your device

KVYcam is relatively easy to install, but you should make sure your capture device is already connected before launching the program. If multiple webcams are available, you can switch between them easily.
During the setup process, a new device called KVYcam Video Driver is also installed. It allows you to send the webcam feed to multiple other applications, such as Skype, Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder or other video chat programs.
This driver also comes in handy when switching to the desktop capture mode or loading a local video file, as you can easily send this content to other programs.

Customize the output settings and record webcam or desktop videos

There are several output settings can be altered, such as the resolution and frame rate. Moreover, you can select one of the available output resize methods, which have an effect on the operation’s resource usage and the created video’s quality.
Furthermore, it is possible to choose a separate sound source, should you wish to, for example, record audio commentary.
It would have been great if more output formats were supported, however, as the captured clips can only be encoded as MP4 files. Also, the videos cannot be larger than 1.5 GB in size, as the application begins recording a new clip if this limit is exceeded.

Easy-to-use application that features a minimalistic interface

KVYcam is very user-friendly, so novices should have no problems getting accustomed to its functions.
The interface is also quite intuitive, although it would have been great if it were possible to resize the program window.
All in all, KVYcam is a useful tool that enables you to record webcam clips or send the video stream to various other applications. However, it can only save the captured content to MP4 and limits the file size of the recorded videos.
