Linear Program Solver Description

Linear Program Solver or in short, LiPS, is a development environment that can assist you in easily solving linear and integer programming problems. Relying on the simplex method, this application can easily find solutions to complex problems, while providing step-by-step explanations on the used algorithm.

Predefined templates and intuitive GUI

It comes with a rich collection of sample models that find the answer to various types of problems, helping you learn the basics of linear programming and understand its principles.
The application's main interface is intuitive enough to have even beginners use it without facing difficulties. You can use it to open multiple problems at the same time, each within a separate editing window. For your convenience, the editor features line numbering and syntax highlighting, allowing compatibility with both algebraic and tabular input models.

Tabular mode vs algebraic mode

In tabular mode, you must fill a form with data that is then integrated within the Simplex table, specifying the number of variables, constraints and objectives, as well as the optimization direction. The algebraic model can help you generate a mathematical formula of the problem by entering expressions to define objectives, constraints and declarations.
Linear Program Solver uses sensitivity analysis in order to process model data and generate the solution. The advantage is that you can alter the model's results by modifying parameters such as the constraints or the objective function.

Export or save the generated solution

The generated reports does not only include the answer to the input problem, but it displays a sequence of all the created Simplex tables, which enables you to fully understand the applied algorithm. The solution can be saved to your computer as a RTF document, printed or exported to Excel for further processing.
Linear Program Solver is suitable for linear, integer and goal programming, enabling you to define models, generate the solution and take a look at the solving method.
