MacroSoft Power Manager Description
Chances are you’re not always around to perform some computer operations, and you leave it idly running by and using power for no reason. This can lead to data loss, especially if a laptop is not connected to a power source. Luckily, you can use specialized applications like MacroSoft Power Manager to schedule PC power options.
Quick and easy schedule configuration
Once installed, you can go ahead and run it to set up a new schedule. The visual design is pretty intuitive, with a tray icon to which you can minimize the application. A good idea is to pay a visit to the general options menu to make it run with Windows so that schedules are active as soon as you reach the desktop.
All schedules you create are shown in a large table with column headers for name, type, last run, and next run time. Additionally, there’s a small temporary scheduler which enables you to instantly pick a power option and a time when it triggers for one-time use, such as watching a movie through which you’re not sure you can go through without falling asleep.
Choose recurrence interval and access power plans
The creation process is pretty intuitive, requiring little effort. Power options include hibernate, standby, logoff, reboot, and shutdown. Moreover, a time also needs to be specified, as well as the recurrence interval, which can be daily, weekly, or monthly. A name also needs to be provided for easy identification.
In case you want to skip a specific session, the main window provides options to easily disable all schedules, while another prevents the computer from entering standby or hibernate while in idle time. Laptops also benefit from a quick access button to the Windows power options to select or configure power plans.
In conclusion
Bottom line is that MacroSoft Power Manager is a reliable application with which you can rest assured that your PC powers off without your intervention. Schedules are pretty easy to configure, with a temporary scheduler, quick access to power plan management, and startup option, making it worth your while overall.
